Number Day 2022

P1 love using the Activpanel and computers and Number Day was no exception. We love to play lots of counting games using Topmarks website. We were putting our counting skills to the test by playing 'Read and Count'. We had to read the number and place the correct number of objects beside it. We love celebrating birthdays in P1 so we decided to create some Number Day cakes and made sure we had the correct number of candles on each one. We created a human number line and ordered ourselves from 0-15!

Reindeer Training

P1 heard a rumour that Santa may be looking for extra reindeers this year. After being inspired by our Shared reading book 'A Christmas Collar' we decided we were up for the challenge of reindeer training. To pass P1 had to duck under clouds (including very low rainbow clouds), tiptoe across rooftops, gallop really fast in case Santa is running late and of course be able to hide quickly and freeze just in case someone wakes up! I am very pleased to announce that Santa is in luck this year as all our P1's passed their reindeer training and received their certificates! Well done P1!

A Day in the Life of P1

Our P1 pupils love to explore and play. They are given opportunities to develop their interests through child-led play-based learning. P1 particularly enjoy playing some classic playground games outside and break and lunch. We are a great team!
