Extra-curricular activities

Due to Covid-19 restrictions our after school clubs are currently unavailable however our staff enjoy providing a range of clubs to further develop the interests of all our pupils. The pictures below will give some insight to what we have offered in the past. We look forward to recommencing our clubs as soon as current restrictions are lifted.

Green Club

The children were very disappointed that the sensory garden they made last year failed because the ground was so water-logged. We decided to make a bug hotel instead. The Green Club recycled old car tyres to make foundations so that the new hotel doesn’t sink. The Green Club had a great time making the bug hotel. The children thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to use the saws and the glue guns and behaved very sensibly when they realised they were being trusted to use ‘real’ equipment.

A job well done!

Our Green Club also formed our Eco-Committee. They worked hard to ensure all classes contributed in recycling, composting and enjoying lots of learning in our outdoor environment. We were very proud of our Eco-Committee and their efforts as we achieved our Green Flag award! Well done everyone!

Homework Club

During Homework club our pupils are provided with support to complete daily homework activities. They are given the opportunity to have peer support as well as adult support.

Puzzle Club

Mrs Logue enjoys setting a variety of challenges for our pupils in P1-P3. The children are taught the skills needed to complete everyday puzzles as well as solving practical team challenges each week.

Spanish Club

Mrs Warwick is our language expert. She provides the children with the ultimate culture experience as they begin the basics of learning a second language.
